Our Mission
The Environment Education Programme (EEP) is a flagship initiative of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) implemented in Tamil Nadu. Our mission is to create environmental awareness and promote environmental education among students and teachers across the state.
Objectives
- To create environmental awareness among students and teachers
- To encourage active participation in environmental protection activities
- To develop environmental consciousness and sensitivity
- To promote environmental education in schools and colleges
- To facilitate the development of environmental leadership among youth
Key Functions
- Implementation of National Green Corps (NGC) program
- Coordination of Eco-Club activities in schools
- Organization of environmental awareness camps and workshops
- Conducting training programs for teachers
- Development and distribution of educational materials
- Monitoring and evaluation of program activities
